March 2010

I told myself I shouldn't be blogging unless my house is clean and my laundry is done! Well since that never happens here I am again, finally.

We recently moved the boys together in the larger room upstairs because the twins were really having trouble keeping each other up at nap time and bedtime. Riley loves sleeping on the top bunk, it's become a very special place for him, that being said who else would love a spot that Riley has claimed for himself and tries to keep off-limits? Avery and Brody, of course! :)

The arrangement has worked out well for the boys but now Avery makes me sleep with her at night because she's not used to sleeping alone! We're working on getting everyone to bed at a decent hour and eventually to sleep by themselves!

Usually at bedtime they all lay together in Brody's bed to listen to Riley read them a story. I love this part of the night, just to see them all together, bonding and also to see Riley enjoying the big brother role.

I've been more hesitant to paint with the twins than I was with Riley and obviously it was for good reason! They started out painting their paper and then they painted their hands to make hand prints then somehow it turned into their whole arm!

We are loving this warm weather!!! We've spent most of each day outside, only coming in to eat or sleep. But with all the new stuff to do and explore it seems the twins are having more accidents, neither Avery or Brody want to leave what they are doing to go to the bathroom. Hopefully this phase passes quickly!

Riley has now lost 7 teeth! His mouth is such a hodgepodge of big, little and missing teeth that his smile is funny and cute all at once!
He is currently participating in indoor soccer and loves it!! It's more about getting familiar with passing and playing with the ball, so it's more fun games than actual games.
Riley will start coach pitch baseball this spring and when I have the game schedule I will post it for everyone to come watch as you are able.

Riley's healed ear!

Just after the steri-strips were off.

The infamous 10! stitches.
