OUCH!

Riley and Remy have always played rough together which is something Dan and I have tried to change but on Sunday night our worst fears occurred. While Riley and Remy were playing Remy got a hold of Riley's ear and both pulled away in opposite directions at the same time leaving a gash in Riley's ear. I immediately brought him to Children's ER where they placed 10! stitches!! They first numbed it with an ointment and Riley did great with the stitch placement, he didn't even flinch or move once. They had pushed a TV in our room and we were watching Scooby Doo (the ER was swamped so we ended up staying there for 3 1/2 hours), the only time Riley moved was when I accidentally got in the way of the TV :). Riley has already changed the way he plays with Remy, he even lets the twins know when they are getting Remy too wild. He gets the stitches out on Friday, the ER nurse mentioned that ears tend to scar more so we are not sure what it will look like as it heals.

The green wrap around his head is a pressure bandage, he had to leave that on for 24 hours and now has the stitches open to air.
Brody saw a Thomas the train cake at the grocery store and asked if he could have it, I told him he could for his birthday. Every night he asks where his "Brody cake" is?

We started ECFE classes on Monday night (parenting class/kids play, sing songs, etc.), we go into the gym for part of the class and Brody goes straight for the hockey net, he hits slap shot after slap shot until our time is up in the gym, usually during part of that time I have one or more of the other parents watching him and commenting on how good he is at hitting the puck :)

Riley and Brody have started playing soccer together every night and it is very sweet to see Riley give him pointers and tell Brody what a good job he is doing.

Avery likes going to ECFE class except for one part, the parents separate from the kids for about 20 minutes at the end. I've only been able to spend 5 minutes in parenting class so far, I always get called back because Avery is hysterical. Riley had separation issues so I know it will pass but Riley was consolable at least, Avery is not. Apparently last night after I left she removed her socks and shoes and was trying to put her boots on to leave while screaming/crying at the top of her lungs.
Avery will put in a CD on her own in the living room and start dancing, it is so cute to watch. I have a few of her moves on video, hopefully I can load them to this site.
Both her and Brody are completely potty trained! We still put pull-ups on Brody at night because he doesn't always wake up dry but Avery refuses to wear pull-ups, she only wants to wear underwear! She has to pick out her own underwear and outfits for the day.
