Your warm thoughts and concerns for Karen are much appreciated! I just wanted to update you all on how she is doing. She had her 3rd round of chemo yesterday (it's given IV at the clinic and she typically is there 7-8 hours). She will have 3 weeks off then back to the clinic for another round, this will continue for 3-5 more months. She will then be monitored every 2-3 months thru blood draws (maybe a bone marrow biopsy, if needed) and will more than likely need chemo again but hopefully not for several years or more. Karen is not one to sit around! She has been busy this holiday season visiting friends, going to luncheon's and dinners. She is tired and needs to rest after her busy days but is still active with the kids and typically feels good most days. She has lost some weight but not her hair! This diagnosis still shocks her when she thinks about it but she tries to stay positive and enjoy life!
