SHOCKED!
I wanted to update you all on the news we received this Friday but as I sit at my computer ready to type the words I can't believe what I have to write. My mother-in-law Karen was diagnosed with C.L.L. (chronic lymphocytic leukemia). It's a "treatable" cancer but not necessarily a "curable" cancer. It was discovered at a routine pre-op checkup, she was having no symptoms, (except for some mild fatigue) her lab work came back "funny" and next thing she knew she was admitted to the U of M cancer floor. She is starting chemotherapy today and will continue a regimen of 1 week on and 3 weeks off for 4-6 months. The scariest part is knowing what the chemo will do to her. Watching Dan go through chemo therapy was unbearable and to have to watch another family member endure it is so unfair. Please pray for Karen as she starts this battle against the cancer. Thanks!

Oh, Jen, I am so sad for you, Dan, his mom, and the rest of the family. She is absolutely in our prayers. I'm so sorry! I hope her treatment goes as well as possible. God Bless you all!
